Taitung oolong is highly aromatic and smooth. It produces a sweet infusion that is reminiscent of baked peach, toasted nuts and honey.
For those that enjoyed our previous 2017 Taitung oolong we have to say we are thrilled with this year’s lot. We have selected a Taitung of excellent grade and the infusion is complex and well structured. This delicious oolong is enjoyable at any time of day. It is highly oxidised giving it characteristics of a black tea whilst still having the nuances of an oolong tea.
We are also delighted that our 2019 Taitung Oolong was awarded a SILVER medal at the 2019 Royal Agricultural Society Tasmania Fine Food Awards in the black tea category.
