Chota Tingrai estate is located in the Tinsukia district of Upper Assam. The estate is well-known for their sustainable and innovative farming practices.

The Assam growing region is the largest tea-growing region in the world. It sits on a high plateau in northern India straddling the Brahmaputra River. 

Elevation: 116m

This robust and bold tea is creamy on the palate with rich malt, dried fruit and wood characteristics. It is full-bodied with a smooth finish.

This is a perfect single-origin black breakfast tea that can be enjoyed in the morning or afternoon.

Assam teas pair well with dark chocolate, breakfast foods, buttery pastries, smoked fish, meats, chilli and spiced desserts.

Try this with Sauteed Mushrooms with Toasted Flatbread and Baked Eggs or with a chai spiced tea cake.

Leaf appearance: Black-brown long wiry leaves with golden tips

Aroma: Assam Dejoo has a sweet aroma of malt with nut and fruity apple notes.

Brewing & Storage

Chota Tingrai FTGFOP can be enjoyed on its own but will also hold up well to the addition of milk, lemon, sugar or honey.

Store in an airtight container away from light, heat and moisture.
