Hello and welcome to The Steepery Tea Co’s blog Tealosophy. Exploring, learning and musing the world of tea whilst appreciating many steeps along the way.

Let the (water for tea) journey begin! Entry #1

By Kym Cooper. Posted

Water for tea. I am not going to lie this is a huge topic and one that I have been reluctant to make a start on due to a fear of heading down a rabbit hole that likely has no single end point. I am not an expert nor am I a scientist but I have a vested interest in water as a tea practitioner and as a tea retailer. The reason I have chosen to look more closely at this topic is not to make the tea making process more complex or scientific. But because as my tea practice...

Tea School

By Kym Cooper. Posted

We launched the concept of our Tea School very quietly at the start of this year. We wanted to bring together all of our tea education under one banner to form a loose path for tea enthusiasts to gain tea knowledge whilst being affordable and flexible. Rather than give you an overview of each resource, take a look, see if it works for you and get in contact if you come across any...

In pursuit of tea knowledge: tea resources for the emerging teaist

By Kym Cooper. Posted

When I reflect on my tea journey to date I always wonder if the path I took to pursuit tea knowledge may have been different if I didn't approach it as haphazardly as I did. Would I have arrived at a different point? Or would I have arrived at the same point perhaps via a different path? For me, it doesn't really matter as my personal journey to acquire tea knowledge has certainly not ended. If anything, with every new tea I drink or new tea practitioner I meet, comes the realisation that tea is fluid and dynamic and mastering...
