Tea events and tea workshops in Brisbane

And finally I am back! Some of you may have noticed an absence of new content from Tealosophy the past month. As much as I hate to disappoint my readers, the truth is that life got a little hectic for this solopreneur during the past month and something had to give. I thought it might be nice to share what The Steepery Tea Co. has been up to recently that has kept us so busy.

One of the main reasons I created The Steepery Tea Co. was to share my tea knowledge and experiences with the local community to promote curiosity and interest in high quality loose-leaf tea. It is my hope that as people discover that tea contains a myriad of flavours and aromas, that varies across growing region and production method, they will start to truly evaluate the origins of their tea and make informed tea purchases.

But to reach this goal it starts with getting out and about. And we have been doing just that! The Steepery Tea Co. has been fortunate to host a number of tea workshops and events for different groups around Brisbane during March and April. I have met so many wonderful people who have been engaged and truly inquisitive about tea.

In March we hosted a Tea Blending Workshop for a corporate client in Brisbane’s CBD that allowed each attendee an opportunity to create their own signature tea blend from a range of loose-leaf tea and organic blending ingredients. The client also arranged gifts for each attendee to take home as reminder of the tea blending workshop. We think the In-Cup Tea Infuser (for easy office and home brewing) as well as samples of loose-leaf tea made the perfect gift.

We have also been very fortunate to deliver a series of Tea Appreciation workshops to the Aveo Group, operators of a number of retirement living villages nationally. It is with great pleasure that we share a morning with the residents of these villages exploring and tasting the world of loose-leaf teas. And we are looking forward to visiting more villages shortly.
