For many years, tea education was a central focus of The Steepery Tea Co. I taught extensively across Brisbane, developing structured workshops and in-depth classes that supported a growing local tea community.
That chapter has now evolved.
Formal tea education programmes are no longer offered on a scheduled basis. This shift reflects both the natural rhythm of my practice and a desire to engage with tea education in a more intentional, sustainable way. I’ve written more about this change in a blog post, which you can read here.
From time to time, I host small, pop-up tea workshops and guided tea experiences. These are offered occasionally, when the context and timing feel right, and are shared through the website or email updates.
At the heart of all education offered through The Steepery is a commitment to pure leaf tea and accurate, experience-based knowledge. My approach draws on years of study, industry practice, and travel to origin, with an emphasis on understanding tea through observation, tasting, and careful brewing rather than rigid frameworks.
Tea learning is never linear. It deepens over time, often quietly, through repeated encounters with the leaf. Any workshops or masterclasses I offer are intended to support that kind of learning — unhurried, grounded, and led by curiosity.
