Mirai Wakocha is a first flush black tea. It has a delightful rose fragrance with a clean and fresh liquor. This semi-sweet medium-bodied tea has notes of cherries and spice.
We are excited to expand our tea collection to include a Japanese wakocha (wa=Japan, kocha=black tea) from Etsuro Masui.
Mr. Masui is a pioneer for black tea production in Japan. He started producing wakocha in 1984. He brought back a cultivar from an experimental farm in Kawane and cultivated into an original cultivar that he named "Mirai" after his daughter.
“I feel like Mirai black tea connects the future (Mirai) which I’ve placed my hope in”
