2022 Kawane Mirai

This year we are excited to expand our Japanese green tea collection to include this award winning Kawane Mirai Sencha. The clean and fresh taste earned it a Bronze Medal in the Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania Fine Food Awards 2022. 

This naturally produced and harvested single cultivar Mirai sencha has a delicate fragrance of cherry blossom with a clean and fresh.

Origin: Kawanehoncho Aobe, Shizouka prefecture, Japan

Flavour profile: Medium-bodied | Floral | Nutty

Cultivar: self-developed Mirai

Processing highlights: Mr. Masui self-cultivated Shizu-7132 into an original cultivar that he named "Mirai" after his daughter. We also love being able to share this tea as a black tea.

Tea Master: Etsuri Masui

Kawane is one of the three major regions of Shizuoka mountain tea production. Masui Etsuro has been cultivating tea cultivated tea for over thirty years with no use of pesticide.

Our Kawane Mirai has a light aroma of cherry blossom with a fresh and clean taste. It has a slight nutty taste on the finish. Elegant and delicious for any time of day.
